Series to finish in 2018

So I use to be really good at marathoning series until a couple years ago I started getting tired of fantasy. Lately I’ve been in a fantasy mood so I’m hoping to finish some series this year!

1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I started reading this series September 2016 and last year I read up until “Heir of Fire” (including the novella collection, “The Assassin’s Blade”) until I became quite saturated of reading such big books following the same characters so I decided to take a rest and pick it up in the summer before the last book was supposed to come out. The last book got pushed back so my reading of these books did too. I really want to binge read “Queen of Shadows” and “Empire of Storms” and if I’m in the mood, “Tower of Dawn” (otherwise I’ll just read it in August or something.

2. The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

This is a different case. I have not finished this series cause the last book has not come out yet. I just recently reread “Illuminae” and read “Gemina” and I cannot tell you how excited I am about the last book, “Obsidio”. I feel like Gemina left us a bit hanging and I just NEED to get my hands on the next book.

3. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

So yeah…I’ve only read the first three books in this series and I stopped because I’m reading Clare’s books in publication order and I have not yet picked up “Clockwork Angel”. I really want to finish this series this year so that I can read “The Dark Artifices” after.

4. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

If I want to finish TMI and I’m reading in publication order, it comes as no surprise that I want to read TID this year since the last book in this trilogy came out before COHF.

5. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

I read the first book January last year and absolutely loved it. I don’t know why I didn’t pick up the second book right away but I really want to read it this year. I need to get the last book first though.

6. The House of Night by P.C. and Kirstin Cass

Oh me and this series have known each other since I was 12. I really liked this series back then but I have yet to read the last two books in this series. They’re pretty small so I’m confident I can finish it this year.

7. The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith

This will be hard cause this is my least favorite series of all time. I only have one book left so I guess I’ll read it. The third book wasn’t as bad as the second one so hopefully it won’t be so bad.

8. The Selection by Kiera Cass

I binge read the first three books in this series last year but I wanted to wait until “The Crown” was published in portuguese so that I could read Eadlyn’s arc as a whole.

This kinda feels like a lot of series but a lot of these series are one or two books so I’m kinda confident about this.

so…

I have a tumblr account dedicated to books. I used to be extremely active on there so it’s where I published my reviews. I think I’m going to start reposting them on this blog for the sake of having all my reviews in one place that I can look back on. So whatever reviews you see after my review of “Hopeless” by Colleen Hoover will be old reviews.

*cough cough*

Well…it’s been a while huh?

Yup, after posting about how I’d start doing Mini-Reviews I just disappeared all together.

The reason I’ve been gone is because I actually got into university this September and as any other law student (or any other student for that matter) will tell you, it’s a ton of work. I’ve just been lazing around my reviews. Maybe posting a first draft of them on goodreads but never really coming back here. It’s not that I haven’t been reading, I’ve just been lazy and after not being able to catch up with all the reviews I wanted to post here I just gave up.

But as you can see I’m here again. Hopefully I’ll be able to stick around for longer this time but I don’t promise anything immediately as I’m currently still on exam season.

Mini-reviews

Hi there!

Today I was thinking about how there are so many books I’ve read but haven’t review on here because I just don’t have that much to say about them.

So I’ve decided to start a “Mini-Review” series on here, which will basically be a compilation of small reviews on some books I’ve read but don’t have much to say about. This is obviously not an original idea but I think it’s the easiest way to not only share my thoughts on books but also be more active on this blog.
